Julius Abromeit

Product designer Julius Abromeit, based in Halle (Saale), works at the intersection of product and interior design, micro-architectures, and visual communication. He completed his studies at the Kunsthochschule Kassel with his Diploma BIRK (2023), a mobile interior concept for nature-based kindergartens. During his studies, he co-founded the independent art space FENSTER9 (2017) and supported the product design department as a tutor.

In 2019, Julius joined the FLIGNUM research project within the BKE platform at the University of Kassel, contributing to experimental material development under Prof. Heike Klussmann and Steffi Silbermann. Afterwards, he moved to Berlin to work at Studio Mark Braun, first as an intern and later as a junior designer, collaborating on projects in accessories and furniture. During documenta fifteen (2022), he was part of the production team of PAKGHOR, the social kitchen by Britto Arts Trust.

In 2025, he co-founded the Fuge Kollektiv with Lena Hellmann. The collective is a platform for collaborative, material-led design practice. The results are less commercial proposals than materialised grounds for conversation: precise enough to function as design, open enough to remain debatable.

Today, Julius is an artistic assistant at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, where he develops and supervises teaching concepts in the Department of Strategic Product and Concept Development.
